El Paso—Man Hunt for the Driver That Struck and Killed a Man on Pendale Road

Authorities are still in looking for the driver and the vehicle that struck a man on Pendale Road near Tequilas Discoteque club, reports say.

According to the El Paso police officers, the incident took place at around 2:00 a.m. at the 810 block of Pendale Road. A man was walking near Tequilas Discoteque club’s parking lot when he was struck by a dark-colored pickup truck that was heading west through the parking. The impact of the collision left the victim with serious injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck did not stop and render aid to the victim. Instead, he made a northbound turn to Pendale and escaped the scene.

No identification has been released.

The Police Department’s Special Traffic Investigations unit is still locating the suspect’s vehicle which is a dark-colored, lifted pickup with oversized tires. It also has chrome sidesteps and possibly a light bar on the roof.

Anyone who has spotted a vehicle described above is encouraged to get in touch with the authorities.

The crash remains under investigation.
