El Paso- Injury reported on Florence Drive

Authorities are still looking into a crash that injured one person on Florence Drive near Cliff Street, Thursday morning.
At about 5:30 a.m., local responders arrived at the scene after receiving a call reporting a collision. According to the report, a red vehicle slammed into a utility pole and hit another car. The impact of the crash damaged the pole.
The driver of the red car escaped the scene following the crash. His identification and whereabouts were not released.
One minor injury was reported but it was not determined if the injured party was transported to a hospital for treatment.
How the crash took place remains unknown as the investigation is still underway.
