El Paso—Hit-and-run Crash on Mesa Street

A pedestrian died after getting struck by a car on Mesa Street, Saturday night.
According to police reports, the fatal crash took place just before 8:30 p.m. near Mesa Street and Resler Drive. Details surrounding the collision are very limited at this time but it was confirmed that the pedestrian died from the injuries sustained from the force of the impact.
Meanwhile, the driver of the hitting vehicle did not stop to render aid to the victim and escaped. The El Paso Police Department has yet to determine his identification and the whereabouts of the vehicle. As per police, the suspect’s car was identified as a white SUV with possible damages to its front.
The crash remains under investigation.
