El Paso – Auto vs Pedestrian Crash on Solano Drive

A pedestrian was killed after getting hit by a car on Solano Drive last Friday evening.
Just before 7:00 p.m., local police officers received a call reporting a crash at the 1400 block of north Solano Drive. According to the report, a pedestrian was walking across Solano Drive when he was hit by a black pickup truck traveling along the northbound lane. The impact knocked the victim to the ground where he was hit by a silver vehicle. Instead of stopping, both drivers of the said vehicles fled the scene before authorities arrived at the scene. They have been identified by El Paso police but the investigation continues, as per reports.
The victim, identified only as 58-year-old man, was fatally hurt from the impact. He was transported to Mountainview Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. His identification will be released once his immediate family has been notified.
An investigation is underway.
