El Paso – Auto vs Pedestrian Accident on Alameda Avenue

A fatal pedestrian accident on Alameda Avenue near the Ysleta Mission caused the death of one person, Sunday afternoon.
Initial reports indicate that the incident took place at the 8900 block of Alameda Avenue just after 4:00 p.m. When El Paso Police’s Special Traffic Investigators arrived at the scene, they found a pedestrian lying on the ground with major injuries. He later succumbed to his injuries a few moments later. How the collision actually took place remains unclear at this time.
El Paso law enforcement officials did not release further details of the victim’s identity as well as the driver involved in the crash. Anyone who has witnessed the incident is encouraged to get in contact with EPPD officials.
The crash remains under investigation.
