El Paso – Auto Crash Involving Police Vehicle on Gateway Blvd

A police-involved vehicle accident on Gateway Boulevard resulted in injuries of one person, El Paso local police said.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred on Gateway Blvd near the intersection of Lomaland Drive at approximately 11:00 p.m. How the crash actually happened remains unclear at this time but police confirmed that a police car and an undescribed vehicle collided with each other at the said cross street.

The impact of the crash left the driver of the second vehicle with serious injuries. He was immediately taken to the nearest hospital where he was given proper medical treatment. His identification and condition were not disclosed pending notification of his next of kin.

The El Paso Police Department was also requested at the scene to determine the cause of the accident.

No arrests have been made at this time.
