Edna – Pedestrian Collision on South Wells Street Injures 1

Edna law enforcement officials are conducting an investigation about an auto accident on South Wells Street, last Friday night.
According to initial reports, local troopers were dispatched on South Wells Street near South East Street after receiving a call reporting a car versus pedestrian accident at around 11:00 p.m. Police said that a man was walking along South Wells when he was hit by a vehicle, leaving him serious injuries. The male pedestrian was then airlifted to Memorial Hermann hospital where he received medical treatment. His condition and identification were not immediately disclosed by local officials.
No other injuries were reported.
No charges have been filed as the Edna Police Department has yet to determine liability. Anyone who has information regarding the case is encouraged to get in contact with them.
