Edinburg – Auto Collision on Trenton Road Leaves 1 Injured

According to local officials, a two-vehicle accident on Trenton Road resulted in injuries, early Thursday morning.
Initial reports show that the incident took place at around 2:00 a.m. on Trenton Rd near McColl Road in Edinburg. Police said a passenger vehicle was seen traveling along the roadway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it collided with a tractor-trailer. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the car underneath the truck, leaving its driver seriously injured. He transported to the hospital where he was listed in an unknown condition. Authorities will withhold the victim’s identification until his next of kin has been notified.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
Edinburg local investigating team was also requested at the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision. No charges have been made as of this writing.
