Early – Elsie Ripple Died in Fatal Solo-Vehicle Collision on US 377

The Early Police Department has identified the female driver who died in a fatal single-car accident on US 377 in Brown County, last Saturday.
The fatality was identified as 38-year-old Elsie Ripple. Based on a preliminary investigation, Ripple was driving a Ford Ranger along Farm to Market 45 Road when, for reasons that had been determined, it crossed US 337, hit an embankment and a couple of trees and fences. The Ford fell 47 feet into a ravine where it landed on a large boulder.
When local firefighters arrived at the scene of the crash, they found Ripple outside of the truck, lifeless. According to reports, Ripple had been reported missing by her family days earlier.
Police have yet to determine what lead up to the collision. The crash remains under investigation.
