Eagle Pass – Isel Garza Died in Fatal Highway 277 Crash

Texas Department of Public Safety officials have released the name of the victim who died following a deadly vehicle collision on Highway 277 near Eagle Pass.
The fatality was identified as 18-year-old Isel Garza.
Based on the initial investigation, Garza was driving a passenger vehicle along Highway 277 when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it crashed into a semi-truck. Garza sustained major injuries as a result of the crash. She was later pronounced deceased by emergency crews. Her passenger, who was only her twin sister 18-year-old Yanel Garza, also suffered from serious injuries. She was taken to the nearest hospital where she was given proper treatment.
Local investigators are still determining the reason that caused Garza to struck the rear side of the semi-truck. Further details will be released.
