HARRIS COUNTY, TX — A 43-year-old Houston woman was arrested Thursday night after allegedly causing a crash while driving a child passenger near east Tomball, reports FOX26 Houston.

Deputies with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constables responded to the scene in the 23100 block of Kuykendahl Road on April 7, at about 10:00 p.m.

Details are limited, but authorities said the woman was found to be at fault for a minor crash while a young child was in her vehicle.

Responding officers said the suspect displayed multiple signs of intoxication at the scene. She was later taken into custody after a sobriety test proved she was impaired.

The child, whose relationship with the suspect is unclear, was released to a guardian.

No further updates have been shared at this time, but authorities said the suspect was found to have had a prior conviction for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).
