HOUSTON, TX — A 69-year-old woman was arrested early Tuesday after crashing a vehicle into two police cars in northwest Houston’s Independence Gardens area, according to OnScene.TV.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Tanner Road and Crawford Road shortly before 2:00 a.m.

Footage captured at the scene show a red pickup truck at rest next to two marked SUVs.

Authorities said the patrol vehicles had been blocking the roadway where Houston Fire Department crews were working an ongoing mulch fire.

The woman, who was not injured in the crash, was suspected of intoxication at the scene. She was later arrested and booked into jail.

No injuries to any officers were reported, but both patrol vehicles sustained damage and had to be towed from the area.

The scene was cleared shortly after, but Tanner Road continued to be shut down as HFD crews attended to the mulch fire.
