Driver killed after crashing into light poles near Park Place Boulevard

HOUSTON, TX – A driver was killed after crashing into light poles near Park Place Boulevard on Tuesday night, the Houston Police Department reports.

An unidentified man was driving a gray Nissan Sentra near 8200 Park Place Boulevard around 10:25 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into two nearby light poles. His car then went down an embankment, and the driver was fatally injured. Emergency responders declared the man dead at the scene.

An investigation into the incident remains open.
