Driver killed after car catches on fire after crashing into light pole

KINGWOOD, TX – A driver was killed after their car caught on fire after crashing into a light pole and guard rail on Sunday morning, FoxSanAntonio reports.

The driver was traveling on the Eastex Freeway near Hamblen when they lost control of their car and slammed into a nearby guard rail and into the base of a light pole. After the initial collision, the car burst into flames.

The victim died at the scene. Their identity has not been released.
