Driver hospitalized after rollover collision on Fry Rd in NE Katy

HARRIS COUNTY, TX — A man was injured early Wednesday morning when his vehicle hit a power pole and overturned near a shopping center in northeast Katy, reports NTV Houston.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident occurred in the 3400 block of Fry Road.
Officers arrived to find the male driver trapped inside a BMW that had rolled onto its side after striking the pole. He was removed from the wreckage and rushed to Texas Medical Centre. The extent of his injuries was unclear, but authorities said he is expected to survive.
It was unclear what caused the wreck, but the HCSO traffic unit said they do not suspect the driver was intoxicated.
An investigation was underway.
