Driver flees the scene of fatal pedestrian accident in west Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A driver fled the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident in west Houston on Monday night, the Houston Chronicle reports.

The victim was attempting to cross Westheimer Road near Westheimer Plaza at about 10 p.m., when he was struck by the driver of a black sports car. The driver of the car reportedly stopped initially, then dragged the victim into the median.

The victim was rushed to a nearby trauma center where he succumbed to his injuries. If you have information about the incident, contact the Houston Police Department.
