Driver flees scene after fatally hitting crowd in parking lot

KATY, TX – A driver fled the scene after fatally hitting a crowd in a parking lot early this morning, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office reports.
At about 1 am, at a commercial center parking lot at 1230 N. Mason @ Katy Freeway, a driver struck several individuals. One individual has been confirmed deceased. Two others transported to hospitals & two more treated on scene. The alleged driver initially fled the scene, but pic.twitter.com/YEMmJBr2J9

The driver struck several individuals at a parking lot at 1230 North Mason at the Katy Freeway around 1 a.m. The driver fled the scene at first but later returned to the area and was detained.
One individual was declared dead while two more were hospitalized. Additionally, two others were treated at the scene.
