Driver flees on foot after hitting multiple gravesites in SW Houston

HOUSTON, TX — Property damage was reported Saturday evening after a single-vehicle collision at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home in southeast Houston, reports ABC13 Houston.

Houston Police Department said officers responded to the scene in the 6800 block of Lawndale Street at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Witnesses told authorities a male driver was speeding through the cemetery when he collided with several gravesites. The driver and at least one other occupant were seen trying to move the wrecked car, but it had become stuck.

Police said the suspects fled the scene and as of this writing, have not been located or arrested.

An investigation remains ongoing.
