Driver fatally strikes pedestrian near NRG Stadium

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian died last night after being struck by a vehicle near NRG Stadium, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Police were called to the 14100 block of Main Street at about 8:15 p.m. Monday night. They say that the pedestrian crossed the street in front of an oncoming vehicle whose driver attempted to avoid a collision but could not. They believe the pedestrian was at fault for the fatal crash.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Intoxication is not suspected.
