Driver dies in single-vehicle collision in southwest Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A driver died in a single-vehicle collision in southwest Houston on Saturday morning, according to the team at the Houston Chronicle.
The driver reportedly was traveling at speeds close to 100 miles per hour when they crashed into a tree at 8500 Braeswood Boulevard. The victim was killed upon impact and has not yet been identified.
It is not known if alcohol contributed to the wreck. The investigation into the crash remains open.
