Driver dies after hitting culvert along State Highway 6

HOUSTON, TX – A driver died after hitting a culvert along State Highway 6 on Sunday morning, per the Houston Police Department.
The victim, an unidentified 44-year-old man, was driving near 6100 State Highway 6 just before 5 a.m. when he lost control of his car. He then drove into a ditch on the side of the highway, hitting a culvert. His vehicle came to rest between a utility pole and a fence.
He was declared dead at the scene of the crash.
