Driver dies after head-on collision on FM 1960 in NW Houston

HARRIS COUNTY, TX — A woman died early last Friday morning after a two-vehicle crash involving a dump truck on Farm to Market Road 1960 in northwest Houston, reports KHOU11.
The fatal wreck occurred in the 11300 block of FM 1960 on April 8, at about 6:30 p.m.
A preliminary investigation indicates the woman was driving westbound when, for unknown reasons, she veered out from her lane and entered the eastbound lanes. Moments later, she collided head-on with a garbage truck.
The woman, believed to be 34 years old, died from her injuries at the scene, confirmed Houston police.
The driver of the truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
No additional details have been provided at this time.
An investigation by the Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division was in progress.
