Driver dies after car falls off bridge on Homestead Road

HOUSTON, TX – A driver tragically died after a car fell off a bridge on Homestead Road on the night of Monday, February 8, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office reports.

The victim, an unknown male, was driving near 12500 Homestead Road when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a curb around 10:52 p.m. After the initial crash, the victim’s BMW hit a nearby guardrail and became airborne, flipping off the bridge.

The car landed upright on the road below and burst into flames. The victim was declared dead at the scene by emergency responders.
