Driver dies after big rig jackknifes on Sam Houston Pkwy in NW Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A woman died early Tuesday morning after an Amazon semi-truck she was driving jackknifed on North Sam Houston Parkway in northwest Houston, reports Click2Houston.
The fatal crash happened in the 7500 block of the eastbound North Sam Houston Parkway at about 1:15 a.m.
Details are limited, but deputies believe slick road conditions contributed to the incident.
The driver, who was ejected from the vehicle, died from her injuries at the scene.
The parkway was shut down in both directions as Precinct 4 toll road units and deputies investigated.
