Driver airlifted after crash with big rig on Grand Pkwy in Cypress

HARRIS COUNTY, TX — A man in his 50s was hospitalized Monday morning after a two-vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler on Grand Parkway in north Cypress, reports Click2Houston.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened near Cypress Rosehill Road.

Few details have been released at this time, but authorities said the big rig collided with an SUV driven by the victim, blocking all main lanes of traffic.

The driver and sole occupant of the SUV was transported by airlift to a local hospital. As of this writing, the extent of his injuries remain undisclosed.

It was not immediately clear if the driver of the big rig was injured.
