Dimmitt – Van Hopson ID’d Following Motorcycle Accident on Texas 86

Dimmit law enforcement officials had identified the motorcyclist who died in a collision involving a deer on Texas Highway 86.
The fatality was named as 64-year-old Van Hopson.
According to initial reports, the crash took place at around 7:20 p.m on Texas Highway 86 last November 10th. Hopson was seen operating a motorcycle along the highway when he collided with a deer which was at the middle of the roadway. The impact ejected Thompson from his motorcycle, seriously injuring him. He died at the scene, as per local paramedics.
No one else was injured.
Police have yet to confirm if Hopson was wearing a helmet during the time of the accident.
The crash remains under investigation as of this writing.
