Deputy hurt in crash in southeast Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A Precinct 7 deputy constable was hurt in a crash in southeast Houston on the morning of Wednesday, July 1, Click2Houston reports.
The crash was reported near Scott Street near Beltway 8 around 3:57 p.m. The deputy’s patrol vehicle sustained major damage and a woman reportedly became trapped inside the other vehicle. Fortunately, she was rescued with only cuts to her face.
The deputy was transported to the hospital for knee pain. The cause of the accident is not yet known.
