Denton- Deadly big-rig crash on Highway 377

The Denton Police Department is still investigating a fatal accident which involved two big-rigs on Highway 377, Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, the deadly crash took place at Stewart in northeast Denton County. When local officers arrived at the scene, one of the big-rigs lost a portion of its load which caused the highway to shut down for several hours. How the accident took occurred is yet to be determined.
The driver of one of the big-rigs died from the impact. His identification was not immediately released. The second driver, whose name is yet to be released, sustained minor injuries. It was not stated if he was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Local responders arrived at the scene to help clear the site.
The investigation continues.
