Del Valle – Victim of Rear-End Crash on SH 130 ID’d

Travis County law enforcement officials have released the name of the person who died in a fatal traffic collision on State Highway 130, a local news source reported.

The fatality was identified as 34-year-old Corey Harrison Rives.

Police said that Rives was driving a 1996 Harley Davidson FDX along the northbound lane of State Highway 139 near Farm to Market Road 969 when, for reasons that had not been determined, it struck the rear side of a semi-truck. Rives was thrown from his motorcycle, leaving him with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead by emergency crews who responded to the scene.

Whether the driver of the semi-truck was injured remains unknown.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone who has information about the accident is encouraged to get in contact with local authorities.
