Dallas – Wrong-Way Collision on Dallas North Tollway

Dallas law enforcement officials are investigating a wrong-way accident on Dallas North Tollway that resulted in the death of one person and injuries to another, early Monday morning.

At around 2:00 a.m., Dallas police responded to the tollway near West University Boulevard to assist in a collision involving a wrong-way driver. Initial investigation shows that a white Range Rover was heading north in the southbound lane when it crashed into a Nissan Altima that was heading north. The impact of the crash killed the driver of the Nissan instantly. His identification has not yet been released.

The driver of the Range Rover was hurt and rushed to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in an unknown condition.

Local police have yet to determine why the Range Rover was on the wrong side of the highway.
