Dallas – Woman dies at Pear Ridge Drive and Frankford Road intersection

A Saturday morning turned tragic after one woman died in a Dallas intersection, police say.
At around 6:00 a.m., the Dallas Police Department responded to call reporting a crash at the intersection of Pear Ridge Drive and Frankford Road. According to reports, a black Hyundai Elantra was traveling along the southbound lanes of Pear Ridge when it turned left at Frankford at a red light. The Hyundai then crashed into a white Ford Ranger pickup truck which has just entered the intersection.
The Hyundai driver was rushed to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. She was identified as Vanessa Matlock by a Tarrant County medical examiner.
The Ford driver was not identified. It remains unknown if he sustained injuries from the collision.
No charges have been filed.
