Dallas – Woman Died in Chain-Reaction Crash on US 75

A fatal vehicle collision on US Highway 75 resulted in the death of a woman, according to a local news source, Sunday morning.
Just after 4:00 a.m., police responded to Hwy 75 near the Coit Road exit following reports of a crash. Initial investigation shows that a vehicle heading north was rear-ended by another car after slowing down due to a previous collision. When the first driver exited her vehicle to talk to another person, her vehicle was then struck by another car, killing her in the process. She was later identified as Placida Hernandez-Ramirez, 57.
The female driver of the vehicle who struck the victims was taken to Medical City Hospital with minor injuries. It was not clear if she will be facing charges.
The investigation is still in progress.
