Dallas – Shelbi Stephens Killed in Fatal Wrong-Way Collision on Dallas North Tollway

A 23-year-old woman died as a result of the car accident involving a wrong-way driver on Dallas North Tollway, early Saturday morning.
An initial investigation indicates that the wreck took place at Dallas North Tollway near the Maple Avenue overpass at around 2:20 a.m. A Cadillac CTS, for reasons had not been determined, was heading north along the southbound lanes when it crashed into two more vehicles described as the Chevrolet Impala and a Nissan Altima. Details surrounding the crash are very limited at this time.
The impact of the collision killed an occupant in the Nissan Altima. She was identified as Shelbi Stephens, 23. Meanwhile, the driver and its four passengers sustained serious injuries from the force of the impact. They were all transported to Parkland Hospital for further care.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
