Dallas – Scooter Incident Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured on Matilda St

A hit-and-run vehicle struck two people on Matilda Street near Lower Greenville Avenue, March 15th, Sunday.
According to the incident report, the collision took place in the 2600 block of Matilda Street. A black GMS sport utility vehicle was passing the street when it struck a pedestrian and another rider a scooter. Instead of providing aid to the victims, the driver of the vehicle accelerated and left.
The two victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. One of the victims was given further medical attention while the other had succumbed to his injuries. Their identification was withheld by responding authorities.
The Dallas Police Department is still searching for the driver responsible for this unfortunate incident. Anyone who has seen the vehicle described above is encouraged to get in contact with DPD.
