Dallas – Police Injured Following an Auto Collision on Interstate 30

A deputy police officer was taken to a hospital after getting involved in a vehicle accident on Interstate 30 near Hunnicut Road in Dallas, Tuesday afternoon.

Just after 4:00 p.m., a vehicle was traveling along the highway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it crashed into a police cruiser. The impact of the crash left the officer with injuries. He was taken to the nearest hospital where he was listed in an unknown condition.

Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle, identified as 21-year-old Stephanie Morquecho, was arrested on suspicion of DUI. She was not harmed.

The Dallas Police Department was requested at the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The crash remains under investigation.
