Dallas – Man Struck and Killed by Car on I-30

The Dallas Police Department is investigating an auto versus pedestrian crash that caused the death of one person on Interstate 30, last Friday night.
Just after 10:00 p.m., police officers were requested to assist in a collision on I-30 near Dolphin Road. According to initial reports, a man who was identified as 80-year-old Leon Martinez, was struck by an undescribed vehicle near the shoulder of St. Francis Avenue. Martinez was reportedly boarding to a bus at the Tornado Bus Lines Station when the accident took place. Later information indicated that the victim was with his son who went to the restroom and came back to his father missing.
The impact of the crash knocked Martinez to the ground. He later died from the injuries he sustained.
No one else was injured.
