Dallas – Man Died in Deadly Car Collision on I-30

The Dallas Police Department is still investigating the auto collision that caused the accident on Interstate 30, Saturday midnight.
At around 12:00 a.m., a vehicular accident was reported on Interstate Highway 30 involving a vehicle and a pickup truck. Police said a black Chevrolet pickup truck had been traveling along the eastbound lane when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it crashed into a silver Volkswagen as it approaches Hotel Street.
An occupant in the vehicle was thrown off from the car and landed at the middle of the roadway. He was then struck by another passing vehicle, leaving him seriously injured. He was declared deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene. Meanwhile, the driver did not stop to provide assistance to the victim and fled the scene.
No charges have been made as the investigation is still ongoing.
