Dallas – Laniqua Pittman Died in Multi-Car Crash on Interstate 35E

The Dallas Police Department has identified the driver who died as a result of a vehicle collision on Interstate 35 near Medical District Drive last Sunday.
The fatality was identified as 40-year-old Laniqua Pittman.
Police said that Pittman was driving a GMC Terrain along the highway when it struck a Nissan Xterra disabled in the center lane. As the involved parties wait for assistance for clearing, a GMC Sierra was not able to slow down and crashed into the back of the Nissan.
Pittman suffered from serious injuries and was rushed to Parkland Memorial Hospital for treatment. However, she was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel. Two occupants in the Nissan, identified only as a 3-year-old and 10-year-old, were slightly injured. They received medical assistance in the hospital.
An investigation to the crash is underway.
