A fatal weekend car accident took the life of one person and injured another on Sundial Lane, police reported.
At an unspecified time last Sunday, Dallas PD officials responded to Sundial Lane near Dennis Road for a major crash involving a pedestrian. According to their reports, two pedestrians were waiting at a Northwest Dallas bus stop when a pickup truck, for some reasons, veered off the roadway and struck them. The driver of the pickup truck did not stop to render aid to the victims.
Both of the victims were rushed to a hospital for treatment. One of them, later identified as Michael Parritt, died at the hospital. His company, Stacy King, sustained injuries from the impact. Her condition has not been disclosed.
King told the investigators that the pickup truck was heading towards Royal Lane when a car cut it off causing it to hop the curb, striking the couple in the process.
The identification of the hit-and-run driver remains to be unknown but the vehicle involved may have been located, police added.
We believe that when someone loses a loved one from a car accident, they do not only suffer emotionally but financially as well. If you or your loved one is a victim of a car accident caused by wrongful actions or due to negligence, you may have the right to file for legal claims. Most of the time, families who are left behind after a tragic loss are not aware of their rights and the legal processes needed to obtain fair and just compensation. In times like this, you would need a professional who can provide you with all the support you need as you go through this difficult time.
