Dallas – Hit-and-run Collision on Julius Schepps Freeway Leaves Woman Dead

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a deadly pedestrian crash that happened on Julius Schepps Freeway, early Saturday morning.
Local troopers were requested at the 3500 block of Julius Schepps Freeway in relation to an accident that happened just before 3:00 a.m. According to initial reports, a 2015 red Nissan Versa was heading south on the roadway when it struck a female pedestrian who was walking on the freeway. The woman was fell to the ground, leaving him with serious head injuries. Despite life-saving measures, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 53-year-old named Misty Parke, fled the scene following the crash. She was later located by the police a few hours later. She was arrested for failing to stop and render aid and is being held at the Dallas County Jail.
An investigation is underway.
