Dallas – DUI Crash on Harry Hines Blvd

A car accident involving a drunk driver caused injuries to a DART officer on Harry Hines Boulevard in Dallas, early Friday morning.

Just after 2:00 a.m., a vehicle was seen traveling along Harry Hines Boulevard near Community Drive when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it crashed into a DART squad car. As a result, an officer inside the squad car suffered from injuries that were considered minor. He was taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle went through a field sobriety test and failed. He was taken into custody for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

No other injuries were reported.

The Dallas Police Department is investigating the crash.
