Dallas – Driver Killed in Single-Car Crash on Interstate 20

The Dallas Police Department is conducting an investigation about a vehicle accident which took the life of one person on Interstate 20 at Wheatland last September 12th.

At around 2:10 p.m., Dallas troopers responded to I-20 after receiving a call reporting an accident involving one vehicle. According to police reports, a white sport utility vehicle was seen traveling along the highway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it crashed into the median. The SUV rolled over a number of times before coming to rest.

The force of the impact seriously injured the driver. He was declared deceased by emergency crews. No other victims or vehicles were involved.

Area investigators arrived at the scene to determine what caused the driver to lose control of the car.
