Dallas – Boy Killed in Friday Pedestrian Collision Named

The Dallas Police Department has identified the pedestrian who got struck by a vehicle on Westmoreland Road, according to a local news source.
Authorities identified the victim as 10-year-old Lemonterrion Wright.
Police said Wright was seen playing outside his home on Westmoreland near Gannon Lane with his other siblings. A few moments later, Wright then ran into the street to go to a nearby store when he was struck by a passing vehicle. He sustained fatal injuries and was immediately taken to Children’s Medical Center for treatment. Unfortunately, he was pronounced deceased shortly after.
Two vehicles stayed at the scene and called 911 for assistance. It was not determined if there will be charges expected to be filed against both drivers.
The crash remains under investigation.
