Dallas – Alexis Ortiz Died Following a Peavy Rd Crash

A fatal head-on collision on Peavy Road caused the death of one person, Sunday, a local news source reported.

The fatality was identified as 20-year-old Alexis Ortiz.

At approximately 6 a.m., police were dispatched to 2300 Peavy Rd after they received a call reporting a crash. Police said a vehicle was traveling in the wrong direction when it crashed into another car. The driver of the second vehicle was immediately transported to the nearest hospital where, despite life-saving measures, was pronounced deceased. He was named Alexis Ortiz.

The driver of the wrong-way vehicle, 38-year-old Justin Williams, was taken into custody by local authorities. He was not hurt.

Dallas law enforcement officials are currently investigating the incident. Anyone who has information about the crash is encouraged to get in contact with local police.
