Dallas – 2 Killed, 2 Injured Following Crash on Irving Blvd

The Texas Department of Public Safety is conducting an investigation about a vehicle collision on Irving Boulevard in Northwest Dallas which caused the death of two people.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred at 9:15 a.m. in the 4600 block of Irving Blvd. Police said that a flatbed truck was traveling along the southbound lane when, for reasons that had not been determined, it veered onto the oncoming lanes where it crashed into a white Chevy S10 pickup truck. The impact of the collision was so great that it ejected the driver of truck and trapped a passenger in the Chevrolet.
The truck driver, who was identified as 31-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger and driver of the Chevy were rushed to Parkland Hospital for medical treatment. Their conditions were not immediately disclosed.
An investigation is underway.
