Cross Roads- Woman killed in two-vehicle crash on FM 424

A multi-vehicle accident took the life of a Forth Worth woman on Fishtrap Road in Cross Roads, Texas.
Preliminary reports show that the accident happened at the at the intersection of Farm-to-Market (FM) 424 and Fishtrap Road, Tuesday evening. Police said that, for reasons which are yet to be determined, one vehicle crashed into another, left the roadway, and slammed into a utility pole.
The driver of the first vehicle was injured and treated at the scene. His identification was not released. The other driver was pronounced dead following the impact. She was identified as 48-year-old Brenda Smith by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The roads were closed for several hours to give way to the investigation and repairs to the damaged property. The cause of the crash remains unknown as the investigation is still in progress.
