Crews respond to hit-and-run collision near SW Houston shopping center

HOUSTON, TX — A hit-and-run crash was reported Thursday morning near a large shopping center in southwest Houston’s Sharpstown area, according to City of Houston.
The incident was reported in front of Southway Shopping Center at 8210 South Gessner Road shortly before 11:40 a.m.
Details are limited at this time, but Houston police, firefighters, and EMS crews responded to the scene.
Authorities flagged the crash as an “FSGI” event, indicating one party failed to stop and give information to another party after a property-damaging accident.
It was unclear whether any significant injuries were sustained.
