Crash on I-10 in Beaumont claims 2 lives

BEAUMONT, TX – A man and a woman were killed in a multi-vehicle crash on I-10 in Beaumont last night.

According to a report by 12 News, The crash occurred when the driver of a westbound Honda on I-10 crossed into the oncoming lanes of the freeway near Highway 365.

The Honda then collided with a 2019 Dodge passenger van.

40-year-old Funes Canales, a passenger in the Honda, and Andresina Borja, the driver of the Dodge, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. A passenger in the van was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

The remaining individuals involved were transported to Southeast Texas hospital for treatment.
