Crash blocks I-69 in downtown Houston

HOUSTON, TX – Major delays were reported after a collision on the Eastex Freeway in downtown Houston this afternoon.

According to a report by Total Traffic Houston, the crash took place at about 1:45 p.m. on the southbound lanes of I-69, near the exit to Elgin Street.

No injuries were reported as an immediate result of the crash. However, this situation is still developing.

Commuters have been advised to proceed with caution in the area as delays are likely throughout Wednesday afternoon.
