Couple crashes U-Haul in police chase on U.S. 59

ROSENBERG, TX – A couple crashed a U-Haul during a police chase on U.S. 59 on Monday, according to ABC 13.
Authorities in Rosenberg began chasing the couple who was reported to be driving in a stolen moving truck near Avenue L and Tobola Street. The driver of the truck, Armando Lerma, reportedly evaded a traffic stop, leading police on a 30-mile chase.
The truck eventually crashed near the freeway interchange with the 610 Loop in Houston. The woman passenger, Jessica Yanez, was pulled from the car. Both she and Lerma, who attempted to flee the scene, were taken to the hospital.
It is believed that both the man and woman were under the influence of narcotics at the time of the crash.
